Well, the Wednesday Tea I suppose! Sorry about the mix up! In typical “me” fashion, I scheduled the newsletter to post on the wrong Tuesday.
This week has been quite a busy one in this household. I feel like it’s been extra hard to find moments of mindfulness in my days, which means it’s even more necessary than ever. We have a few planetary transits that can cause some hiccups, some, in particular, are hitting my chart pretty hard. Though, I’m leaning into this week’s community tarot reading and bringing some goat/Capricorn energy into my life. Sometimes we need to puff ourselves up, even when it’s difficult.
Community tarot reading 🔮
The Ace of Swords reminds us that we, in fact, can do difficult things. Goats are incredible at navigating difficult (and seemingly impossible) terrain. When you commit to great heights of ascension you’ll need; determination, self-empowerment, and a solid game plan. Focus on your intention or something you’re trying to call into your life and formulate a clear path of action. In order to have growth and progress, we need a solid foundation to stand on. This card is very Capricornian in nature, and I’m here for it.
This week might have breakthroughs in your way of thinking, new ideas, or a sense of clarity. Don’t over-commit to a summit that you can not climb, but instead, formulate a blueprint to get you to where you wish to be. Understand that change takes time, and often, times of great planning. Use this period as a time to meditate on what you’re calling in, and reserve time to set achievable goals for yourself.
Remember, you can do difficult things.
For a limited time, my tarot readings are available at a discounted price, which you can find on my website. Don’t wait - prices go up this summer! Paid subscribers have the perk of using an exclusive discount code, too!
I’m using the Spirtsong tarot deck.
Tuesday tunes 🎵
This week we’re taking a stroll down memory lane, well, sort of. This track remixed a tried and true classic, and it’s a really good time. I like listening to this during my workouts, or whenever I need a energy boost.
The current stars 🌠
Cancer season begins with the Sun transiting on Wednesday the 21st. This marks the season when the Sun will be the highest in the sky. The sign of Cancer is ruled by the moon, and happiest during the night, which can be complicated when the brightest star in our solar system is occupying this part of the zodiac. Depending on your chart, you might feel an innate sense of peace or a little bit of misplaced anxiety. The crab of Cancer inspires us to work on our inner selves or the more private parts of our lives. Think of themes like focusing on shadow work, talk therapy, self-esteem, or even picking up a meditation practice. Use this period as an excuse to spend time with the people who make you the happiest, and those who you’re intuitively drawn to. Let your ego down, and don’t be afraid to let your intuition guide you on what your heart is calling out for.
Mercury is ingressing out of its home sign of Gemini and into Cancer on Monday the 26th. You’ll notice the tone of conversation might shift toward a more emotionally rooted place. Be aware to not react too quickly to work emails or clients, and let the conversation flow from a more compassionate source (which takes work). Mercury in Cancer can show up as communication being more guarded, secretive, or even combative when tough emotions get into the mix. If you feel yourself, or someone else get defensive, remember to take a breath. Don’t fall into complex emotions; try not to take things too personally. If you’re in a relationship though, this might be a good time to have those more complex conversations if you’re both in the right headspace since Cancer is so heavily tied to our intuition.
Saturn is still moving backward in Pisces, the sign it’ll be in for the next few years. The vibe can seem repetitive, and you might think to yourself, “Didn’t I get over this?” Heavy topics, boundaries, and morals might be getting mulled over. Don’t get too worked up about these topics resurfacing. Take it as a signal to sit with these tough emotions, and see where you can readjust course. If you’re looking for answers and are in the midst of your Saturn return, meaning you were born between May 1993 and April 1996, you can schedule a Saturn return reading here. During this reading, we’ll dive into how exactly your Saturn return might show up, and ways to remediate the rough feelings popping up.
Good eats 🥑
I recently learned you could make tea from fermented strawberry leaves via The Black Forager. Alexis is a wealth of knowledge, and it’s a gift that all of her videos are so accessible. You can find the video, here, where she walks you through the process.
Getting bored of soybean tofu, and want to change it up? I found this video showcasing all sorts of ways to make tofu out of different legumes. It’s on my to-do list for next month's meal plan, but I wanted to share it with y’all ASAP!
ICYMI 🗞️
The recent Schumann resonance readings have everyone questioning the vibe on Earth over the last day or so. Personally, I view these readings every so often, but I’m in no way a qualified interpreter. However, it doesn't take a professional to see that something is definitely going on - whether is solar flare storms, or something more metaphysical.
Lots of folks asked about what filter we use with our showers since a few weeks ago I posted this video about why we got a ProOne water filter (since Berkey was in a lawsuit). I’ve been testing this shower head out since the original filtered head that came with the house wasn't my style. I’m happy to report our whole household loves it! Plus, it’s pretty affordable, and replacing filters is easy, too!
What’s in my cup 🍵
Adding adaptogenic mushrooms has to be the best addition to my morning routine. Cordyceps mushrooms in particular have been quite the game changer. I get mine from Real Mushrooms. I love the fact that they’re not just selling myceliated grain spawn, which is just inoculated grain, not the fruiting body where all of the goodness resides. Cordyceps have been helping me get a little boost in cognition, as well as energy levels without the jittery boost that caffeine gives. I usually like to forage for all of my mushroom needs, but when I don’t have access to that option, this is the next best thing. You can click here, or use the code “Hippywife10” for 10% off! I add mine to my mid-day smoothie, and it doesn’t alter the taste at all. Just a nice boost in energy and mood!
Paid subscribers can keep reading for a special discount code in addition to their exclusive Oracle card reading, plus some extra special info on “mushrooms for the mind”.
Thanks for slowing down, and joining me for Tuesday's Tea!
