Sept 4 | Feeling the inner battle between your mind and your heart
Mars moves into Cancer
Mars entering Cancer can feel a bit tricky to navigate, especially if you’ve already been struggling with motivation and your energy levels. Having the planet that influences things like assertiveness and drive in a sign such as Cancer that’s governed by the moon which is more related to intuition and emotion can feel a little uncomfortable. It’s like mixing oil and water together, Mars finds it difficult to express its true nature in this sign.
Mars in Cancer might bring up a lot of submerged emotions, so be aware of any triggers or tense conversations. It‘ll feel effortless to let someone know how you’re feeling, without pondering the consequences or rationalizing if you’re caught up in an emotional whirlwind. Crying in arguments, saying hurtful things when you don’t mean it, and rumination are all set to be more prevalent during this transit. Even feelings like low self esteem and lethargy are common during this transit.
💡To mitigate this overwhelming shift in energetic output, remind yourself that this is only temporary. Evaluate if your desires are true, or if they’re something society has placed upon you. Do you truly want to climb the social ladder at work, or was success and achievement expected out of you from a young age? Make sure you’re approaching tough conversations from a space of openness and stability. It’ll be almost too easy to say things you don’t mean or to be overly (and regrettably) emotional in conversation. Try to find the lessons that stillness and introspection bring. Instead of getting frustrated with yourself, focus on tapping into rest.
Remember that there’s nothing wrong with taking a pause.
Sept 9 | A good reset for communication and your career
Mercury moves into Virgo
We’re approaching the final waves of Mercury retrograde, as this planet moves back into the sign of Virgo, and officially passes the place where it retrograded in the first place. You’ll be able to wrap up projects, come to resolutions, and feel an overall sense of comfort in all things Mercurial.
Once we get past 04° Mercury on Septer 11th, that shift forward will become apparent, and you’ll finally feel the rewards of Mercury being in its home sign of Virgo. Communication will flow a bit better, less technical issues, and travel plans should be a bit easier to handle. Overall it’ll feel a lot more natural and cohesive than it did in Leo, let alone working through a retrograde period. Even just your ability to prioritize work and efficiency will come with a lot more ease. The more this planet progresses through this zodiac sign, the more comfortable you’ll feel with the pace that you’ve been traveling at. Eventually, you’ll feel the ping to level up with whatever project you’re working on, and when you make the decision to pick up the pace - stick with it and see it through. When you work with Mercury in this sign, the payoff is tangible and worth it.
💡You might feel an urgency to get a project wrapped up, or to come to a solid conclusion in an ongoing communication gap. Let these things flow naturally and don’t rush to close any chapters. Even if you’re frustrated or a bit overstimulated working through the same topics the last few weeks, or even burning out a little. While Mercury finishes its journey through Virgo, you’ll see more stability enter your life. Just be mindful of your actions and if you’re trying to control situations that are entirely out of your hands, or if you’re getting caught up in the idea instead of reality.
Be confident with your business decisions and capabilities, trust yourself.

This was an incredible live-reading event, what a core memory for me. I got to read so many charts that night, the most I’ve ever read in one day! What’s in my cup ☕
Processing this week with an empty cup
Making herbal tea might be something some folks do every once and a while, but for me, it’s a moment to emotionall check in, and take account for what my body needs (something I haven’t done latley). I’ve been consuming coffee in the mornings with my breakfast, of course. But making my thermos of tea to carry with me the rest of the day hasn’t happened in what feels like weeks.
I didn’t realize it until I was writing this newsletter, and that kind of blows my mind how absent minded I’ve been latley.
I stand in front of my herb cabinet and assess my needs first thing in the morning. Do I need something to calm me, to provide focus, or to help supplement vitamins? I didn’t realize how big this seemingly small moment truly was, and how much I value the information that my body tells me.
If you’re having a rough go at things, or life has been especially muddy or turbulent - make a promise to do at least one kind thing for yourself tomorrow. For me, that’s promising to slow down, see what my herbal allies have to offer, and make a stance to do my body better.
