Astrology forecast 🌠

As we step into the final days of October, the air begins to chill, the leaves crunch beneath our feet, and the mystical energy around us seems to stir with anticipation. Samhain, the ancient Celtic festival marking the end of the harvest season, is upon us. Celebrated from sundown on October 31st to sundown on November 1st, this sacred time is a doorway between the worlds, a liminal space where the boundaries between the living and the dead are at their thinnest.

Astrologically, Samhain occurs when the Sun is about halfway between the Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice. This period marks a "cross-quarter day," a liminal time when the Earth and the cosmos are transitioning. It’s a natural time to honor endings and beginnings, reflecting the cyclical nature of the Earth’s rhythms and our lives. This cosmic midpoint mirrors Samhain’s role as a threshold where the past and future, the seen and unseen, intersect.

Get prepared to start November with a new moon in Scorpio. This transit will be extremely potent and acts as a way to set yourself up for the final lunation of autumn. Get curious about what you want to call in, and how you’re looking to enrich your relationship with your psyche. If you’re familiar with shadow work, this new moon can help you realize that you can step past old patterns. Get ready for the new moon to catapult you to a new level of introspection, if you’re ready.

The upcoming class schedule was posted online this week for The Interstellar Studio. Moving forward you’ll be able to find meditation classes every Wednesday at 6 PM and Sunday at 10 AM.
Wednesday classes are chakra-focused and move in an 8-week cycle. The soothing vibrations of the sound bowls will resonate with each of the seven chakras, promoting deep relaxation and alignment.

When we slide into the cooler months, I begin to feel the effects of seasonal depression. Some call it the “October slide” which refers to the uptick of symptoms those who are chronically ill face. However, I’m less concerned with naming it and more concerned with how I can support my body in a time of need. Lately, I’ve been called to an old herbal ally, Rhodiola (Rhodiola rosea), also known as "golden root" or "arctic root." I source mine in the form of a tincture from a local herb shop.

Rhodiola is classified as an adaptogen, meaning it helps the body adapt to and resist the effects of physical, chemical, and environmental stress. Adaptogens work by regulating the body's stress response and promoting balance, helping reduce feelings of anxiety and overwhelm. People often use Rhodiola to help manage chronic stress and burnout, as it is believed to support the adrenal glands and maintain balanced cortisol levels.

This herb has been researched for its potential to improve mood and reduce symptoms of depression. Some studies suggest it may increase the availability of neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, which are associated with mood regulation.
