Time to speak up, or learn to sit with the silence

If you’re longing for an energetic reset…here it is! This new moon is packed with themes of rebirth, abundance, cultivation, and most importantly — activation of your divine voice.

If you have something heavy on your mind, make sure it won’t slip past your tongue if you’re not ready for the consequences. Good, bad, or indifferent, your words matter more than ever right now. They’ll have a lasting impact on events to come, so make sure you’ve considered where the emotion is living besides those thoughts, and make sure it matches your intentions.

On the other hand, if you’ve had something lingering on the tip of your tongue for a while, now might be the right time to say it. Especially if you have something pressing going on with your business, coworkers, or even your physical health.

The collective is stirring with the quiet hum of potential. This new moon is asking, “What are you cultivating with your words? What seed is held between your breath and your bones, waiting to be named?”

🕯️ Magical themes:

• Rebirth & renewal: The soil of self is fertile. Think compost — what old thought patterns, grudges, or outdated scripts are you ready to transmute into nourishment for the new?

• Voice as spellcraft: The throat chakra is a beacon this lunation. Are you guiding it with reverence? Sometimes, silence is a spell. Sometimes, truth wants a ceremony.

🌕 Lunar ritual

Voice Alignment: Claiming the Power of Your Words

Purpose: To clear, align, and activate your throat chakra so your words reflect your truth, intention, and inner wisdom. Use this ritual when you're unsure whether to speak up, or when your truth feels ready to be birthed, but remember you want it to land with integrity and resonance.

You’ll need:

• A blue candle (or white, in a pinch)

• A pen and paper

• A cup of soothing tea (peppermint, chamomile, or blue lotus are household favorites)

Step-by-step:

1. Create sacred space
Dim the lights. Light the blue candle. Simply place your hands gently over your neck and say:
"I honor the words I have spoken. I honor the words I have withheld. May this space reveal what needs expression."

2. Sip + settle
Drink your tea slowly. With each sip, imagine tension unraveling from your throat, shoulders, and jaw. Let your body soften and open to the truth.

3. Free write
On your paper, begin to write the words that hover just beneath the surface. This could be a truth you've been withholding, a boundary you need to express, or even a dream you’ve been afraid to claim. Keep writing until you feel release.

Some examples to help get you going:

• What have I been holding back?

• What do I need to say to myself first, before saying it to others?

• What am I afraid my truth might change?

Let any responses rise naturally, without judgment.

See where this ritual takes you and ride the wave. Notice what comes up (or what doesn’t) and do just that — notice. You can speak our writings out loud, or ponder them while the candle burns out and hold space for them to merely exist alongside you.

🔮Tool of the week

This one is simple, but I think it needs to be mentioned time and time again — candles. I was chatting today with someone about how I use candles for almost everything, showers, bedtime, rituals, for ancestors, and even just holding space to get something done on the computer.

Lighting a candle is like flipping a cosmic switch. It helps focus your energy, mark sacred space, and signal to Spirit (or your guides) that you’re ready. Whether it’s love, clarity, or protection — the flame carries your prayer.

Fire is transformation. The candle brings the spark of the element into your ritual, helping burn away the old and energize the new. It’s especially great for spellwork tied to passion, change, or motivation.

Ever feel a loved one near when you light a candle? That’s not random. Candles can act as beacons, inviting ancestors, guides, or deities to draw close. Use them to hold space for messages or gentle guidance.
