What a delicious summer transit. The Sun in Gemini is the perfect time to indulge in socializing, intellectual conversation, juicy gossip with friends, and even get a little traveling done. Lots of folks, especially meme makers across the internet, like to shit on Gemini placements. But honestly, it’s a great sign to jump into summer with — it’s all in how you interpret astrology. Are you looking at one sign (or being reminded of a singular person) or taking in the whole picture and seeking where you can find a little room for expansion of thought, ideas, conversation, and knowing?
With the Sun moving out of the crowded house of Taurus, you’ll find it easier to focus on yourself and not get so caught up in the expectations of others. Going to the beat of your own drum, and finding what feels good will flow easier than expected — and it might even come as a reprieve, like a weight off your shoulders.
With the individualist energy of Gemini, get curious about how you want to show up in the world. Celebrate what makes you an individual, and run with it. If you have any sort of online presence, try to get comfortable expressing yourself as your true self to your followers. Talk about the real, the uncomfy, celebrations, and dreams. If there’s one thing Gemini is good at, it’s talking about what lights them up. Tap into that collective energy of the sun, and see where you can make some new neural connections.

Meal prep 🥑 This week we got back into our meal prep game. We made this bean salad for the week, and we’ll be keeping the herb dressing in our fridge at all times because it’s so good you can drink it, honestly. For the second meal, we made spiced cauliflower and green beans, which was such a yummy treat! We’ve been adding other veggies in the mix when we prepare it throughout the week, too!
On my nightstand 📚 I finished The Open Air Life, for some feel-good nighttime reading. I find a lot of comfort in knowing that I embrace the outdoors in my life. If you want to incorporate more outdoor living into your life to reap the mental benefits, this book is a great place to start. I found some of it a little repetitive personally, but for someone who’s looking to start from zero, it has lots of useful information and viewpoints! ICYMI 🗞️
If you’re on social media or know someone living in the northern United States - there’s no doubt you saw the Aurora Borealis from the most recent solar storm. We actually got to see it from our backyard! The experience filled me with so much gratitude, wonder, and curiosity. To gaze at the night sky made me feel a sense of peace like no other. For the first time, I missed Florida since I moved to North Carolina — but only because I longed to be on the beach at night. There’s nothing like it, but sitting on my porch staring up at the sky with the dim-lit colors and stars was truly something else. I’m still waiting to see them in their highest octave, but for now, it feels good to check it off my bucket list!

What’s in my cup ☕
Since I’ve been going through some new health challenges, breakfast has changed a bit. I’m back to my morning protein + mushroom shake, and I can honestly say it’s nice to just grab it and go.
