Astrology forecast 🌠
April 19 | Finally, a change in the energetic tides
Sun moves into Taurus
Taurus season is one of my favorites, the lush spring air, the warm sun, and the excuse for more social outings! Honestly, it’s the perfect excuse to dive into some nature-based self-care. More walks, more hikes, picnics with friends, lounging by the lake, and anything you deem good for your soul! Especially since we’re moving toward a time of year with more light, it’s something easy to celebrate. Take a moment to let the sun hit your face in the morning before starting your day (though, there’s good science to back this up.)
Of course with Taurus, be on the lookout for overindulgence, especially in the realm of money, food, alcohol, and social commitments. It’ll take a bit of self-control to reel yourself in, especially since you’ve been wound up all winter waiting for the excuse to get out of the house.
As long as you’re practicing moderation, let this delicious transit warm up your body and mind, and make sure to have some fun. Don’t forget that moderation has to be practiced in moderation. Remember to have fun, but don’t get too caught up to where you can’t enjoy the moment.
Find a balance that will allow you to occasionally stray and explore.
April 23 | Get ready for some shadow work today…
Full Moon in Scorpio
Scorpio full moons can be a difficult lunation to move through. It usually goes one of two ways; sort of a sink-or-swim moment. You can expect secrets and shadows to come to light, but it’s a mixed bag if it’ll be on the spectrum of positivity. How you experience the transits, especially full moons, depends on your natal chart placements. Anytime the moon is full in a water sign, you can expect things to get emotional. Especially in the sphere of Scorpio, your inner chatter can be loud and abrasive.
You might find yourself falling into the trap of “I’ll never be good enough”. Working with your shadow might be just the thing you need this lunation. Sometimes, the stars have a way of illuminating exactly what we require at the most divine moment. Scorpio in general, is terrific at bringing that sort of energy to light.
Most folks think Scorpio full moons can be the epitome of intense, however, if you’re actively working with your shadow, it’ll be a great time to lean into some introspection. Be a little more prone to examining why you’re reacting a certain way, or what kind of beliefs you hold. This is, after all, the perfect time to shine a little bit of light on those darker corners.
Now is the time to dig deep into your psyche and tend to those parts that need it most.
If you need some help understanding how the transits, especially Full Moons, will affect your day-to-day life, I’m here to help! A natal chart reading is especially helpful for folks who have never had an astrological reading and is the best place to start. Astrology has made my life make sense, and I’m here to offer that same sense of understanding and peace. Using Astrological knowledge in your everyday life can bring a sense of clarity and foresight like nothing else.
Weekly favs 💚
On repeat 🎵 It’s all about podcasts this week! I just finished up this month’s episode of The Astrology Podcast’s April Forecast. This podcast is super comforting for me, and the fact that it feels nice and cozy (so Aquarius Mercury of me) just helps me absorb all the incredible information shared!
Meal prep 🥑 While it wasn’t in our meal prep, we did make a household favorite that I just have to share! Fried dandelions! We used our gluten-free dredge - I shared it in Cosmic Insights #43 if you want to steal the recipe!
On my nightstand 📚 I just finished up Toil and Trouble: A Women's History of the Occult, which you can find here. Think chicken soup for the witch’s soul - it made for some light-hearted mindless nighttime reading. If you’re a bookworm too, let’s connect on my Goodreads account!
What’s in my cup ☕
I’m still on a coffee kick, but I’m having the ping that it might be time to take a break (hello overconsumption!) This is my favorite coffee of all time! Its effects are even better when I pair it with l-theanine; think crisp focus without any anxiety. Of course, it’s all about moderation, but it’s nice to finally find a coffee that doesn’t make me feel like I need to unzip my skin. Bonus points since it’s fair trade and organic, something really important to me especially if I’m integrating it into my weekly consumption.
Here’s the coffee I mentioned, paired with the amino acid l-theanine it’s a real treat for my mentation and focus!
