April 1 | Reworking difficult conversations…
Mercury stations retrograde in Aries
You already know the deal with Mercury retrogrades. An increased frustration in communication, technology, emails, tech glitches, and travel delays. What makes this transit different is the energy behind the curtains. Picture being in a room with a bunch of loud personalities, and there's no A/C. It’s uncomfortable, chaotic, and a little bit messy - just like this Mercury retrograde.
Your projects might come to a screeching halt, or even start to unwind. Words might be fleeting, or conversations can be completely misunderstood. The toughest part of this transit, is going to be keeping a rein on your anger, especially with your words, and even more so in the workplace. Reread texts, and do your best to not lose your cool with your partner. Better yet, be aware of things you’re not saying and emotions that you’re keeping in.
Maybe it feels like you’re going through a lot of changes, and you feel agitated or frustrated - but try to separate these emotions from your being. You’re allowed to feel emotions, but being them is a totally different story. Try not to shy away from hard conversations, as you might be able to deconstruct them in a safe space. Arguments, conversations, and pain points from the previous weeks will pop back up. Instead of “what ifs” get the best of you, or acting out in a. reactionary way - try to hold space for understanding and growth.
You are not your emotions, you’re a human being having a human experience.

Gearing up for the upcoming solar eclipse
Solar eclipse are a time of physical, mental, and emotional upheaval. It’s nothing to be scared of, but it’s something to have on your radar. Like I said in my last newsletter, eclipse magic isn’t something on in my tool belt. I personally don’t practice eclipse magick, and if you choose to do so, do it from an educated place.
A solar eclipse takes place when the moon passes in front of the Sun and blocks off its light. When we use the word "eclipse," we usually picture the moon passing over the Sun. An eclipse is a noteworthy celestial occurrence. An easy way to remember the difference is solar eclipse is essentially a new moon on steroids, and a lunar eclipse is a full moon on steroids.
You can expect even more energy about so since so many planets and placements will be in the house of Aries; we’re talking about the Moon, Sun, Mercury, Venus, Chiron, and the North Node. When we have such a wide array of energies all in one house - it’s similar to a dysfunctional family cook-out. Then, once we throw the fact that there’s a solar eclipse - forget about it. Folks that have planets or placements on or near 19° of Aries will be the most impacted, followed by any tight aspects. Folks with cardinal sign (Cancer, Aries, Libra and Capricorn) placements will want to pay attention to their charts too.
For eighteen to twenty-four months, a family of signs will continue to appear in pairs, matching new and full moons every five and a half months, until they are finished. That’s when you’ll notice a completion in a certain relationship, phase, or event cycle in your life. To know what areas of your life will be most impacted by the eclipses, you’ll need to be familiar with your natal chart, either through a reading or personal research.
Next week, we’ll dive into a more detailed look at this solar eclipse specifically. We’ll talk about what to expect, and how to mitigate and work with the energy at hand.
If you need some help understanding how the transits, especially eclipse season will affect your day-to-day life, I’m here to help! A natal chart reading is especially helpful for folks who have never had an astrological reading and is the best place to start. Astrology has made my life make sense, and I’m here to offer that same sense of understanding and peace. Using Astrological knowledge in your everyday life can bring a sense of clarity and foresight like nothing else.
Weekly favs 💚
On repeat 🎵 It’s gearing up to be flow-art season again! If you didn’t know, I love to hula hoop and use silk fans! This song made it onto my flow-art playlist recently! Instrumental and fun, perfect for playing with flow toys in the sun!
Meal prep 🥑 This was the sort of week where we wanted to pack a bunch of veggies from the freezer and fridge into a powerhouse of a soup. We based the recipe we used loosely on this one, but added foraged ramps and lots of lemon! Plus, it was more of a bean base soup and we even busted out the immersion blender, like I said, a loose intrepetation! It’s one of those weeks that we wanted something easy, fresh, and vibrant!
On my nightstand 📚 Self-development books are usually on the stack of 4 or so books that live next to my bed at all times. I’m diving back into Joy Donnell’s Beyond Brand. I read this book a few years ago but was called for a refresher. If you’re a bookworm, let’s connect on my Goodreads account.

What’s in my cup ☕
Alright, so remember when I said I wasn’t into coffee? I made a liar out of myself. I finally found a coffee that didn’t give me the jitters. Its effects are even better when I pair it with l-theanine; think crisp focus without any anxiety. Of course, it’s all about moderation, but it’s nice to finally find a coffee that doesn’t make me feel like I need to unzip my skin. Bonus points since it’s fair trade and organic, something really important to me especially if I’m integrating it into my weekly consumption.
Here’s the coffee I mentioned, paired with the amino acid l-theanine it’s a real treat for my mentation and focus!
