The last two weeks have been a doozy for me, has it been that way for you? Between the recent holiday and the Capricorn Full Moon, last week hit a challenging aspect in my chart, and it wasn't easy to move through the motions. However, I remedied it by spending time with friends and assimilating into the local LGBTQ+ community. I’m happy to report it was absolutely wonderful, and I’m looking forward to making it a regular part of my weekly routine. I’m also really looking forward to some of the upcoming astrological shifts (I’m looking at you, Venus) and personal ones too (like building my YouTube, finally!)
Weekly tarot insights 🔮
The Three of Feathers/Swords means that actionable change is happening right in front of your eyes. Allow yourself to connect with the darkest parts of yourself, that way you can move forward. You’re allowed to feel heavy, sorrow, or grief, but the moth on the card reminds us to move through that energy, in order to feel it - and then move on from it. Allow your feelings to move freely, that way they can be released. When we give ourselves permission to feel our emotions, we make space for new ones to emerge. Give yourself the gift of making space this week, and connect with the parts of yourself that you might have been compartmentalizing.
I’m using the Spirtsong tarot deck.
Tuesday tunes 🎵
This track popped up on a new playlist I tried on Spotify. I’m trying to mix up my listening and branch out. I’m totally loving experimenting with new artists, genres, and sounds overall!
The current star forecast 🌠
We all probably felt some collective relief yesterday on July 10th when Mars moved from Leo into Virgo. Mars in fire signs has a tendency to make things very fast and accelerate things that have already been in motion (even subconsciously). With Mars in Virgo, you might find a sense of struggle in finding the will to get out of bed. Or maybe one minor hiccup in the morning might ruin the energy of the rest of your day. Try not to let the small details get in the way of your big plans. This is the perfect time to pause on some projects and think about how you can be more efficient. The sign of Virgo is ruled by Mercury, when we combine Mars and Mercury archetypes, we’re faced with two opposing forces of energy under one roof.
Mercury is moving from Cancer into Leo today, on July 11th, which should allow for more conversation structure and stability. When you have a sign like Mercury which naturally thrives with more stability, you might expect things to be moving a bit more quickly with it in a fire sign like Leo. You might feel compelled to send the email you’ve had in your drafts or start that difficult conversation with your partner. However, if you’re going to take this approach and use the passion and energy that Leo is providing to Mercury - do so with caution. Lean into Mercury's affinity for communication - especially internally. We can often forget that the most important conversations we have are with ourselves. With our subconscious, and with the innermost corners of our minds, self-talk is extremely important, so this Mercury in Leo, make sure you’re nurturing that part of yourself especially. Mercury will be co-present with Venus, meaning they’ll be in the same house, and have a bit of influence on each other. Much like if you were sharing a room with a friend and they’re in a rush - you’ll feel some of that residual energy too. That’s why I think focusing on your inner communication will be especially helpful during this transit.
With the Moon absent of light in its home sign of Cancer on July 17th, you’ll see both lots of external and internal shifts. The Moon represents your intuition, mind, and subconscious -it’s everything you can’t see, but everything you can feel. Cancer, the crab, is protected by its hard shell. You might feel more defensive, or even a bit more protective of your inner world. You can use the whole sign house system to see exactly where this New Moon is aspected in your natal chart. Instead of reacting from a guarded place, see where you can make shits to allow more fluidity into your life. Consider everything that life has gifted you, and see where you can make adjustments to let the river of life navigate you toward more greatness.

Solar flares might be the reason you feel a little off lately. There’s been an influx of solar storms and flares, and they’re responsible for all sorts of energy shifts, including internal ones!
Remineralizing water is important for your health, especially if you’re heavily filtering your water! These are the mineral drops I use by Trace Minerals. They don’t taste the best, but I notice a difference compared to when I don’t add them. We keep a travel case for when we’re hiking to help with swellings from fluctuating altitudes.
What’s in my cup ☕
Dazhang green tea has been my recent go-to. I’m usually more of a jasmine tea girl, but I needed a shift. I get mine from my local co-op, but if you’re looking to research it, I added a link, here! It’s subtle, and I usually steep mine for around 3 minutes at 176 degrees. I’m not a fan of grassy or astringent green teas, and this is perfect for a nice morning pick-me-up.
